Who writes the travel mission statement?
Normally the travel mission statement is written by the client. That said we are often asked to contribute so as to ensure that the items and principles contained within the travel mission statement are actually workable.

Is it essential to have a travel mission statement?
Whilst it is not essential to have a travel mission statement, it does show that as an organisation you take your travel seriously. It will send a signal to both your travellers and bookers alike that you care the way things are done. Once a travel mission statement is in place it is far easier to ensure compliance with you travel policy.
