Ian’s role as Account Manager focuses on the client and their requirements. Ian will liaise with both the client’s key stakeholders and the CT Business Travel team, taking a consultative approach. As well as conducting regular reviews of the client’s travel, Ian will ensure that the client is aware of key products and services as well as analysing data, making strategic recommendations and negotiating supplier programmes. Ian takes a proactive style to assisting clients with change management and stakeholder engagement.
Ian started working as a Business Travel Consultant in 1992 whilst completing his NVQ qualification in Business Travel. After 12 years in operational roles, Ian moved into Account Management where he was initially tasked with looking after a diverse range of clients before progressing to managing one global account with a spend of £23m per year. Ian took an opportunity to work for a global hotel chain in Sales and Marketing before returning to travel management in business development. Ian joined CT Travel Group in November 2019 to his self-professed true calling of Account Management.
