Flight Disruptions Expected During Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

REDUCE YOUR TRAVEL COSTS

Many Ryanair and EasyJet flights are being cancelled due to a 'no-fly' zone in France during the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games on 26th July. EasyJet has had to cancel 96 flights, while Ryanair and Wizz Air have also alerted passengers to potential disruptions.

The 'no-fly' zone will be enforced during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, on the afternoon and evening of Friday, July 26th. The French civil aviation authority, DGAC, has described the "creation of a temporary prohibited zone (ZIT)" as part of the aviation security measures for the Paris Olympics.

An EasyJet spokesperson commented, "Like all airlines operating to and from Paris, EasyJet has been requested to reduce its flying programme for the duration of the 2024 Olympics opening ceremony on Friday, July 26, 2024."
