Business etiquette and customs vary dramatically from country to country, and business professionals are often unaware of the differences.

Whilst the coronavirus pandemic has dramatically impacted global travel, and face-to-face interactions such as shaking hands and exchanging business cards are on hold, it is still vital to understand varying business etiquette and customs. For instance, whilst the majority of the world dresses smartly for business meetings, in Sweden, Israel and Singapore it is more common to dress casually, and whilst pre-business chit-chat may be customary in Brazil, this is not the case in Russia, Switzerland and a number of other countries.
