Emirates has announced it will be rolling out a premium economy service across most of its long-haul fleet.
The new premium economy seat will include ‘up to 40 inches of seat pitch, 19.5 inches of seat width, eight inches of recline and a 13.5 inch IFE screen.’
Whilst Emirates unveiled its premium economy offering in late 2020, it was only available on a few routes and aircraft. The carrier will now roll the superior economy class to 53 Boeing 777s and 52 A380s. It is likely however the retrofitting will take 18 months and will not start until late 2022.
The airline has announced however the new premium economy seating will be available on A380s operating to London Heathrow, New York JFK, Paris CDG and Frankfurt by the end of December 2021.
