Emirates has announced plans to resume daily flights between London Gatwick and Dubai from 10th December in response to travel restrictions lifting between the UAE and England.
The service will be operated by the airline’s B777 with a three-class configuration. The daily flight times will be as follows:
- Depart Dubai International @ 07:40 and arrive London Gatwick @ 11:40
- Depart London Gatwick @ 13:35 and arrive in Dubai International @ 00:40 the following day
Along with the restored daily service to Gatwick, Emirates will also operate to five other gateways in the UK, which includes a six-times daily flight to Heathrow, twice a day service to Manchester, a ten-times weekly flight to Birmingham, four-times-weekly flight to Newcastle and a daily service to Glasgow.
Stephen King who heads up Airline Relations at Gatwick Airport commented:
“We are delighted to welcome Emirates back to Gatwick in December. Emirates has been a hugely popular airline for Gatwick passengers and it’s fantastic that we are once again able to offer passengers across London and the South East the opportunity to connect with Dubai and beyond.”
The news comes after the UK government announced from 4th October it will accept UAE vaccination certificates, meaning that those who have been vaccinated in the UAE will be allowed to enter England without taking a test before departure.
