Eurostar has announced plans to add a fourth daily weekday service between London and the Netherlands.
From 5th September, Eurostar will offer direct services to Amsterdam and Rotterdam departing London at 06:16, 08:16, 11:04 and 18:04. The return legs will depart Amsterdam at 07:47, 13:47, 16:47 and 18:47.
The route will also stop at Lille, Brussels and Rotterdam.
The move follows the Dutch government’s decision to reduce the maximum number of flights allowed per year at the capital’s airport in a bid to reduce air and noise pollution.
Els Buzzi, Head of Amsterdam Route at Eurostar, commented:
“The ever-growing demand for high-speed trains between the Netherlands and the UK shows that both business and leisure travellers appreciate the convenience and comfort of travelling by Eurostar.
“The fourth service will give our customers even more choice and flexibility when planning their journey, safe in the knowledge that Eurostar is the greener way to go from city centre to city centre.”
