The US Government has announced it will reopen its border to fully vaccinated travellers from the UK and other countries from 8th November.
Foreign passengers who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to enter the USA from 8th November if they can demonstrate proof of vaccination before boarding. Although details are still not confirmed, it is expected that travellers will need to provide a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of their flight and are expected to take part in contact tracing. Fully vaccinated passengers will not be required to quarantine on arrival to the US.
The White House Assistant Press Secretary Kevin Munoz, announced on Twitter:
“The US’ new travel policy that requires vaccination for foreign national travelers to the United States will begin on Nov 8. This announcement and date applies to both international air travel and land travel. This policy is guided by public health, stringent, and consistent.”
