Airport security staff in Germany to strike on 1st February

Roughly 25,000 aviation security staff in Germany have announced strike action, which will be taking place on Thursday 1st February across 11 major airports. Verdi trade union members will be stopping work in a dispute over pay. Longer security queues and air travel disruptions are likely.

The strike will impact the following airports:
