British Airways and EasyJet have been forced to cancel hundreds of flights due to Covid-related staff absences. The disruption is expected to continue early into the week.
EasyJet said it had put more crews on standby, but had still been forced to make cancellations and would consolidate flights where it had multiple options. In addition, about 60 British Airways flights to and from Heathrow airport were cancelled on Monday.
If you have a flight scheduled this week, we highly recommend that you check with your airline for any changes or cancellations. You can also contact the CT Business Travel team on 01892 616122 for further assistance.
UK airports are also reporting a lack of staff due to Covid-related illnesses and passengers should expect longer waiting times and queues. It is advised to arrive to the airport with sufficient time.
