It has been reported that two further rails strikes will take place in the UK on 15th and 26th September 2022.
Union Aslef has today announced that train drivers from 12 rail companies will strike on 15th September. Earlier in the week, union TSSA also reported there would be a 24-hour rail strike starting at midday on 26th September.
For the rail providers taking part in the strike, there will be a very limited service with some lines and stations not opening at all. It is recommended not to travel by train on these days.
The rail providers involved in the Aslef strike on 15th September are Avanti West Coast, Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, Greater Anglia, Great Western Railway, Hull Trains, LNER, London Overground, Northern Trains, Southeastern, TransPennine Express and West Midlands Trains.
Those likely to be involved in the TSSA strike on 26th September include Avanti West Coast, c2c, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Great Western Railway, LNER, Southeastern, TransPennine Express and West Midlands Trains.
CT Business Travel highly recommends to check with your rail provider before travelling. We strongly advise that if you are planning to travel to a destination or an airport on those dates that you do not travel by train and find an alternative mode of transport. Please contact the team for support and assistance regarding this.
