A national strike which will take place on 21st, 23rd and 25th June where only about half of Britain’s rail network will be open.
For those rail operators taking part in the strike, there will be a very limited service with some lines and stations not opening at all. It has also been reported most trains will not run outside the hours of 07:30 and 18:30.
Network Rail said passengers should check with their rail provider for further details. Most providers have advised to only travel if necessary on strike days.
The rail providers taking part in the strike are:
Avanti West Coast
East Midlands Railway
Govia Thameslink Railway
Great Western Railway
Transport for London
Transport for Wales
A separate tube strike is also expected in London on Tuesday 21st June.
CT Business Travel highly recommends to check with your rail provider before travelling. We strongly advise that if you are planning to travel to a destination or an airport on those dates that you do not travel by train and find an alternative mode of transport.
