Train drivers across 15 rail companies have announced further strike action to be held on 1 and 3 February as part of a long running dispute.
This strike has been announced by the ASLEF union and it is likely there will be no trains on either day – and a knock-on impact in the morning of each day following a strike.
The RMT union, which represents train and station staff and workers at Network Rail, also remains in dispute but has not announced further strike dates.
The rail companies affected by the new ASLEF strike are:
- Avanti West Coast
- Chiltern Railways
- East Midlands Railway
- Great Western Railway
- Greater Anglia
- Great Northern/Thameslink
- London North Eastern Railway
- Northern Trains
- Southern/Gatwick Express
- South Western Railway
- SWR Island Line
- TransPennine Express
- West Midlands Trains
CT Business Travel highly recommends checking with your rail provider before travelling. We strongly advise that if you are planning to travel to a destination or an airport on the affected strike days, that you do not travel by train and find an alternative mode of transport. Please contact the team for support and assistance regarding this.
